About me

From a young age, I’ve known I wanted to be involved with sports for the rest of my life. In preschool, the first thing I did upon entering the classroom was list off the college basketball scores from the previous night to my teacher. My parents would be often disappointed to find me not in my bed, but instead in their bed watching hoops, listening to Dick Vitale rave about the latest “PTPer.”

More than a decade later, here I am. After graduating in May 2017 from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University,  I’m hoping to achieve my lifelong dream of a career in sports journalism.

At OU, I involved myself with several on-campus organizations. I did on-camera and written reporting for Hardwood Heroes and Gridiron Glory at WOUB Sports, in addition to anchoring sports on the station’s newscast, WOUB Newswatch. I covered the Ohio Football and Men’s Basketball teams for Speakeasy Online Magazine. Out of the newsroom, I was a Learning Community Peer Mentor for incoming freshmen and an Ohio University tour guide.

Recently, I interned at WKRC-TV in Cincinnati in the Fall of 2016 and 2017 assisting with producing sports blocks in iNews, covering high school football and basketball around the Tri-State area, writing scripts, editing video and helping with Local 12’s Bengals Nation.

I dedicate my free time to relaxing with friends, all of whom I can beat in NBA2K or FIFA, watching the Cleveland Browns and the Cincinnati Reds repeatedly break my heart and playing with my golden retriever, Tucker.
